Thanks for expressing interest in joining the WaikatoLinuxUsersGroup.

You don’t have to be a member, but it helps.

The WaikatoLinuxUsersGroup page gives an overview of the group and its aims, and explains how to join the WlugMailingList.

Membership allows you access to the WlugLibrary and contributes to the running costs of all sorts of things that the LUG offer. Also, you must be a member of WlugIncorporated to stand for executive committee positions and to vote at General Meetings.

Membership is currently set at $10 per year for an individual. Membership currently lasts from the time of payment until the next Annual General Meeting. Pro rata subscriptions are not offered. We don’t offer a family membership per se as meetings are free and everyone is encouraged to attend, but you are welcome to make a suggested donation of $20 per year for a family.

Please download the membership form (hosted on github.com), fill in your details and return it to us. Check out the form for all the necessary instructions.

Be aware that if you pay online, we will not be able to get confirmation of your payment until the next fortnightly statement arrives from our bank (we cannot do online banking).
