One of the many flavours of toy computers that were around in the 1980s. Most of these had [BASIC] on [ROM], used television sets as monitors and tape recorders as storage devices. You could either plug it into the TV and type something like: <verbatim> 10 PRINT "NOW WHAT?" 20 GOTO 10 </verbatim> or load a game off a tape. The __Commodore 64__ the __ZX Spectrum__ were common examples of these. The __Apple II__ was a little fancier in that it had a proper (though limited) monitor and a FloppyDisk drive. The [PC] began life as [IBM]'s overpriced attempt at a HomeComputer.
