Comments, editing, welcome. This is pulled from a variety of sources and edited to fit, so it might not make sense. I would like to see this document in its final form ratified at the next meeting, so we can start collecting subscriptions and allowing accounts to be created. -- CraigBox

Use of the WLUG community server at hoiho.wlug.org.nz (hereby referred to as 'the WLUG Community Server' indicates acceptance of the following Acceptable Use Policy. Violation of any of these conditions will result in the immediate cancellation of the account(s).

  • Shell Access is only made available to paid members of the Waikato Linux User's Group. Any accounts found being accessed from outside the WLUG's catchment area will be terminated.

(Does this mean that I can't use the WLUG Community Server if I go overseas? --MattBrown) (I assume we're worried about international bandwidth? Otherwise, if someone paid to be a member then they should be allowed to access the machine. --MatthiasDallmeier) No, the above was taken from other AUPs on other sites. I dont think Net4U's traffic model differentiates between national and international traffic. However, this issue is up to Net4U. Comments from Net4U? With respect to the actual point above, its probably best to remove the second part of that clause, its unneeded. --DanielLawson
