So, you've gone through the process of [SelectingADistribution], and you want to acquire it?

* Ask some [people|Category:HomePage]. If you're close to the [WLUG], post on the WlugMailingList, someone will have it.

* Download an [ISO], either from http://www.linuxiso.org/ or from the LinuxDistribution's own WebSite. http://www.linuxhelp.net/isos/ has many links. NewZealand~ers should look for one of the NewZealandLinuxMirrors.

* Order a copy on [CDROM]/[DVD] from a place like
  * http://kiaoracd.org.nz/
  * http://www.copyleft.co.nz/
  * http://www.alllinuxcd.com/
  * http://cart.cheapbytes.com/cgi-bin/cart
  * http://linuxcd.org/
  * http://www.linuxcdmall.co.nz/

  When you buy from such sources you are paying for the media and shipping only.
  The content of the disc comes from freely available [ISO] images you could download yourself.
  You get no support (unless explicitly stated otherwise).
  Some such vendors donate money to OpenSource charities while others don't -- check their WebSite~s for details.

* Buy one of the many linux magazines which include [CDROM]s or [DVD]s on their cover.

* Get a free [LiveCD] which many organisations give away for promotional reasons.

* Buy one from a shop that sells them
  * DickSmith Electronics ([Forum Post|http://forums.wlug.org.nz/viewtopic.php?p=246&highlight=#246])


* Check on Trademe

Now that you're ready to install the LinuxDistribution of your choice, you might want some good PartitioningSuggestions.
