One of the downsides about MicrosoftWindows is that the [GUI] is built into the OperatingSystem. Conversely, Linux provides any number of [GUI] interfaces; most of which use [TheXWindowingSystem] - look up [GNOME] or [KDE] for some [GUI] DesktopEnvironments.
