FreeBSD is the second BSD to come in the early 90s. It's mainly for x86 but also runs (or is beeing ported to) on Alpha, amd64, ia64, MIPS, pc98, PPC and sparc64. FreeBSD is released under the BSDLicense as the other BSDs. FreeBSD has a very BSD-feel about it as opposed to Linux !SysVish? origin but it's probebly the most Linux-like of the three big BSDs.
