A FloppyDisk or "diskette" is a flexible (ie a "floppy") magnetic disc contained in a usually square plastic wallet. In "ancient" times, it was the most common storage device, but they have become inpractical due to limited capacity (2.88MB at most). Bootable FloppyDisks are still a common rescue system carrier.
