A network connecting the offices of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research in NewZealand.
DSIR was disbanded in 1992 when it was restructured into a number individual Crown Research Institutes.
One of the nodes and significant computation resources were located at Soil Bureau (now Landcare Research 
http://www.landcareresearch.co.nz/), which was then located behind Taita College in Lower Hutt.
