[Acronym] for __D__istributed __C__omponent __O__bject __M__odel, an extension of the __C__omponent __O__bject __M__odel ([COM]) to support objects distributed across a network. [DCOM] was developed by MicrosoftCorporation and has been submitted to the [IETF] as a draft standard. So far, thank goodness, it has not been ratified! :) |
