Discussions surrounding proposed CD distribution
Intend to burn our own CD "OpenDisc" and give away as promotional material.
Have ordered 100 CD. Mix not specified, assuming we'll get approximately 75 for i386 and 25 for AMD64. Bruce feels that OpenDisc software for Windows is much more likely to get used and we should only give out Ubuntu CD to people that show interest in trying Linux. Had ten Ubuntu cds at the last workshop, more than half found a home, so no problem finding people that do want them.
Library Display
The library has been booked for a display in the 2 week prior to Sept 20th
PB Tech
Intend to approach PBTech for the loan of 6-8 machines for demonstration purposes BruceKingsbury and LindsayDruett

Promotional Art
BryceUtting did not report any progress but intends to provide the promotional artwork.
Bruce registered with the Software Freedom website and expects delivery of 3 promotional T Shirts.
JamesPluck has an extract from Hoiho of all currently known members and whether they have current or expired subscriptions. JamesPluck will talk with Perry about access to the database to prepare a reminder email to encourage present list members to become financial members. The understanding is the email will allow unpaid members to catch up their membership and allow voting at the next AGM
Hoiho
Bruce will email JohnMcPherson to investigate what the best strategy to get the new disk into service. BryceUtting may assist.
