These units natively support lots of security related stuff like MicrosoftCorporation's [PPTP] and the open [IPSec] standard. If you want to learn about interoperating a PIX and [Linux], see FreeSwanToCiscoPix (FreeSwan is the Linux 2.4 [IPSec] implementation, it's due to become native in [LinuxKernel2.6].
