The Cisco soho aDSL routers are commonly refered to as the Cisco 827? by the CiscoNuts?, but there is an expanding range of the 800 series aDSL routers.
Cisco 827
Cisco 827H
Cisco 827-4V
Cisco 837
There is also the SOHO77 and SOHO97 routers which aren't available in New Zealand that I know of.
The Cisco 827H is the same price as the Cisco 827.
Also in the same range of routers, are the broadband ethernet routers if you wish to have a wireless connection from Satlan, Net4U, or whoever. They are exactly the same except they have an ethernet port in place of the aDSL port along with the appropiate chip set and features
Cisco 806
Cisco 831
In New Zealand, all the Cisco 800 series broadband and aDSL routers comes with two IOS feature sets.
GRE Tunneling can be done using the standard shipped IOS, however, if you wish to encrypt the GRE tunnel, then you will need to upgrade the IOS to IPSec feature set to use the DES or 3DES encryption.
As with all Cisco gear, you pay more than you would for something from DickSmith that is going to get you a connection to an aDSL network, but you get what you pay for.
