An Acronym with two meanings:
In ElectronicMail? addressing a CarbonCopy? recipient is sent a copy of the message and all other parties are (potentially) aware of that they have been sent a copy.
In Unix tradition, the C Compiler binary is called cc, and among the MakefileVariables, there's one called CC which stores the name of the C Compiler to use.
