BillGates is the founder of MicrosoftCorporation and a multi-billionaire. He lives in a $40 million mansion, and has a wife and (two?) kids. You do not have to hate BillGates to love Linux, just avoid keeping pictures of him in your wallet. Although you could be forgiven if it's this one.

Despite a widely cited quotation that 640K of memory should be enough for anybody being attributed to him, it appears he never actually said that.

His first big break came when him and friend Paul Allen wrote a BASIC interpreter for the first personal computer, the Altair. Microsoft then was contracted to write an operating system for IBM. They licensed the operating system that later became MS-DOS. From there we got MicrosoftWindows, MicrosoftOffice and eventually the Department of Justice case against them.
