Microsoft then was contracted to write an operating system for IBM. They licensed the operating system that later became MS DOS. From there we got MicrosoftWindows, MicrosoftOffice and the Department of Justice case against them! Bill Gates lives in a $40 million mansion, and has a wife and (two?) kids. You do not have to hate Bill Gates to love Linux, just avoid keeping pictures of him in your wallet.
