NewZealand's largest city with a population of about 1 million people. Auckland is north of Hamilton. People who live in Auckland are often believed to think that NewZealand is a barren wasteland south of the "Bombays" (the hills south of Auckland), and that no one ever lives there. This is of course simply an ongoing joke, similar in nature to the well known Australia / NewZealand rivalry.
