Alan Mathison Turing (1912-1954) was a british computer scientist who made contributions to the fields of mathematics, cryptanalysis, logic, philosophy, ArtificialIntelligence and ArtificialLife. He is best-known for his work code breaking for the allies in WWII, TuringMachines and the ChurchTuringThesis.

Since his death his life and work have become politicalised.
