An Acronym for Authentication Header

An Authentication Header is part of the IPSec protocol.

The Authentication Header provides only the authentication functionality for IPSec and can be used seperately from the other parts of IPsec, such as encryption. This can lead to a situation where you have an authenticated, but unecrypted IPSec connection.
