When used in reference to a datatype, [64bit] means that the datatype (usually a pointer, integer or floating point number) is 64 bits wide. When used in reference to a [CPU], other hardware or OperatingSystem, [64bit] means pointers are 64 bits wide. [Alpha]s are [64bit] machines. See also: [32bit] [16bit]
