When used in reference to a datatype, [16bit] means that the datatype (usually a pointer, integer or floating point number) is 16 bits wide. When used in reference to a [CPU], other hardware or OperatingSystem, [16bit] means pointers are 16 bits wide. [DOS] is a 16 bit OperatingSystem. See also: [32bit] [64bit]
